Pagan Coming Out Day S.A

SAPO supports the International Pagan Coming Out Day (PCOD) movement. 

PCOD Coming Out Day:  Wednesday, May 2, 2012

Due to family/etc situations, an actual local event for this year isn’t happening.  Therefore, I’m changing the date to May 2, which is the movement’s official date.  Since SAPO has gotten its feet wet with the April 2011 picnic and we have more of an idea of what people want, we’ll be setting up a venue early to ensure we get together a community event for 2013′s Pagan Coming Out Day.

 

Though we won’t be getting together at a venue this year, I want to strongly encourage everyone to share their experience and stories on our Facebook forum about what it was like to “come out of the broom closet.”  Those who are seeking advice on how to transition their Pagan life out of the shadows and into their everyday life would REALLY appreciate sharing this journey with others. 

The intent is to provide an opportunity for those who are looking for guidance on how to “come out of the broom closet” to meet local Pagans who are already out, to share their experiences and some “how-to” for the transition from private to public.
